Make your degree worthwhile! Study in Germany


One of the many reasons that attract students all over the world to Germany for higher education is the low or no tuition fees for the courses offered in Germany. This is because German universities come under the jurisdiction of Government. Germany holds an important position after US and UK when it comes to getting applications from international students. German universities offer courses in medicine, engineering, law, English and various other programs. Academic freedom is the main characteristics of German education. The variety of institutions helps students choose the course that fulfill their needs. To gain more practical knowledge, universities of applied sciences is there. To focus more on theoretical knowledge Universities of technology is apt. Students have a common misconception that knowledge in German language is mandatory for getting admission in to German universities. It is not the fact.If you are applying for a course taught in English, it is often not mandatory to know the German language. However, it is always an advantage to know some German if you wish to enjoy the people around you, to find part time jobs, to get good internships or more importantly seek employment in Germany after your studies. For some international degree programs, basic German language proficiency is required. In case you are opting for such programmes, you may want to appear for A1/A2 exams. Such programs often give students a semester or two to achieve the proficiency level.
